Q) Why is Budget Webs so much cheaper than other web designers?
A) Budget Webs is a home based operation situated in Yamba and has minimal overheads. We utilise the KISS system and as such do not offer unnecessary flashy, gimmicky and expensive add ons. We only provide what a basic website needs. There is no reason why a simple well designed website cannot perform as well as an expensive flashy one!
Q) How long does it take to create a website?
A) That depends on the amount of completed information that is required to be posted, but it may take between 2 to 4 weeks.
Q) Is the website viewable immediately upon completion?
A) It is viewable as soon as it is published and searched for by its complete url address (for example: http://www.yourdomainname.com.au/), however, it may take a while for the search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN etc) to find and list your website before it can be found by its business name.
Q) Will my website be listed on the first page of Google?
A) In reality, probably not. Some web developers claim to guarantee high Google ranking, but as a demonstration they provide you with keywords for you to test that are totally unique to that website, like “yellow polka dotted pink foo foo valve” so the chances of any other site using the same sequence of key words is very remote, however if you entered “foo foo” valve they are more often than not nowhere to be seen. Budget Webs will optimise the keywords that you supply, to provide the best range of words and phrases possible that suites your business.
Q) Why don’t you provide e-commerce facilities?
A) All e-commerce sites require secure encrypted programmes with SSL security certification to be classified as a trusted site. The overheads for this feature can be quite expensive and requires constant monitoring to minimise any security breaches. Budget Webs only offer basic web sites to service the budget conscious business owner. Financial transactions for web sales can still be processed through your business by utilising traditional communication methods like emails, telephone or fax. Always be vigilant for any fraudulent attempts and only despatch goods to verifiable street addresses.
Q) Why don’t you publish your email address?
A) We are very wary of spam emails. That is why we use sophisticated Captcha image verification software in our email contact form. This is the form that we use on all of our websites that we create as we also appreciate and respect that you don’t want to be inundated with unwanted communication either. We will provide you with an email address when responding to your enquiry.
Q) What information do you need from me to create a website?
A) Once you have made a template selection, you will need to supply us with the following information:

How many pages you want.

Text that you want to appear on your site and on which page you want it placed.

Images (if any) and where you would like to place them.

Business address and contact phone number to appear on the “contact us” page.

Meta tags – no-one knows your business better than you, so you would be the ideal person to provide these hidden keywords that are used for the search engines (we can help you with these)
